1. Cleaning Checklist
All Rooms
Every serviced room gets this pass before you move to room-specific work.
Dust, vacuum, floors

- Dust all furniture and clean flat surfaces
- Dust ceiling fans, vents, registers, high-reach areas, and cobwebs
- Vacuum under all accessible furniture
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop all floors
- Dust and wipe windowsills and blinds
Not in scope: Small items get moved, cleaned under, and put back. Heavy furniture (beds, dressers, sofas, appliances) stays in place — clean what is reachable around it.
Touch points and trim

- Spot clean doors, doorways, and trim
- Clean and disinfect all light switches, door knobs, and high-touch surfaces
- Wet-wipe all baseboards by hand
- Dust the tops of all interior doors and door frames
- Spot-clean all wall scuffs and smudges
Glass, mirrors, trash

- Clean all interior window glass
- Dust mirrors and frame edges, then polish glass
- Empty all trash cans and replace bag
- Pet-hair pass with a lint roller or pet-hair tool on upholstery
Not in scope: Glass only — frames and sills are Move-In/Out scope, tracks are PCC-only. Do not imply the frame or sill is included on a Deep Clean.
Kitchen
Sinks, counters, cabinets

- Clean and sanitize sinks, countertops, and backsplash
- Wipe down and clean exterior of all cabinets and drawers
- Sweep and mop floor
Not in scope: Cabinet and drawer INTERIORS are not part of a Deep Clean — that is Move-In/Out scope.
Appliances

- Clean stovetop, then pull and clean drip pans, burner grates, and under burner caps
- Clean range hood exterior
- Clean exterior of oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher
- Clean inside the microwave
- Stainless steel fingerprint pass on fridge, dishwasher, oven, and microwave fronts
- Clean top of refrigerator
- Dishes loaded into dishwasher if empty
Not in scope: Inside the oven, inside the fridge, and dishes are PAID ADD-ONS on a Deep Clean, not base scope. Do not clean them unless BK notes show the add-on was purchased.
Bathrooms
Shower, toilet, sink

- Clean and sanitize shower walls, bathtub, and shower glass door
- Sanitize toilet bowl and seat
- Clean toilet base, behind the toilet, and floor immediately around the toilet
- Clean and sanitize sinks
- Wipe down countertops

Fixtures, mirrors, floor

- Vacuum every stair tread and the carpet edges
- Wet-wipe banisters, handrails, and balusters
- Wipe down stairwell baseboards and trim
- Clean any wall art, light fixtures, or sconces in the stairwell
Final QC and After Photos
Walkthrough before you leave

- Walk through every room one final time and confirm every checklist item is complete
- Verify all paid add-ons were completed (oven, fridge, windows, dishes if added)
- Confirm baseboards are wet-wiped and visibly clean
- Confirm all interior window glass and mirrors are streak-free
- If customer is on-site: brief walkthrough to confirm they are satisfied
- Final equipment check: nothing left behind in any room
2. Required Photos
Before photos — every room 1 wide photo

- One wide shot of every room before any work begins: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, laundry, stairs, entry.
Purpose is to document pre-existing damage or staining that will not come clean, not to prove the mess.

- Stovetop with drip pans/grates back in place
- Cabinet fronts, one full run
- Inside the microwave, door open

Full bathroom (after) 4 photos

3. Don't Miss
Toilet base and behind
The single most-missed shot. A top-down toilet photo alone does not prove this was done — get the base and the floor around it.
Cabinet fronts, not just counters
A clean counter with dusty cabinet fronts under it reads as an incomplete job to the customer.
Add-ons only if purchased
Cleaning inside the oven/fridge on a Deep Clean that did not add them is unpaid work and creates a scope expectation for next time.
Same angle, before and after
After photos from a different angle than the before photo cannot be compared — they read as missing evidence even when the work was done.
4. Questions / Limits
We do not move appliances
Cleaners do not move the fridge, oven, or washer/dryer to clean behind them. This is out of scope for every service. "Behind the toilet" is different — that is always in scope.
We do not move furniture
Small items get moved, cleaned under, and put back. Heavy furniture (beds, dressers, sofas, appliances) stays in place — clean what is reachable around it.
Photo counts are a draft
Exact photo counts on this page are a first-pass proposal, not yet an approved standard. Confirm with your office before treating a missing shot as a problem.
Anything outside this guide — flag it to your office before improvising. Never promise a customer scope that isn't on this list.
