1. Cleaning Checklist

Restrooms — Priority Zone

Restroom pass

  • Sanitize all toilets, urinals, and bowls — inside, outside, base, behind
  • Sanitize all sinks, faucets, and countertops
  • Clean and polish all mirrors
  • Wipe down all stall partitions and dividers
  • Wipe down all dispensers — toilet paper, paper towel, soap, sanitizer
  • Clean and disinfect door handles, light switches, and high-touch surfaces
  • Empty all trash cans and replace liners
  • Sweep and mop floor with disinfectant

Kitchen and Breakroom

  • Clean and sanitize sinks, countertops, and backsplash
  • Wipe down exterior of fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and other appliances
  • Clean inside the microwave
  • Wipe down tables, chairs, and seating surfaces
  • Wipe down vending machines, water coolers, and coffee station exterior
  • Empty all trash and recycling, replace liners
  • Sweep and mop floor

Workstations and Offices

  • Dust shelves, picture frames, and decor
  • Wipe down phones and door handles with disinfectant
  • Empty all individual trash cans and replace liners
  • Vacuum carpeted areas, sweep and mop hard floors

Not in scope: Never move or reorganize paperwork, files, or personal items on a desk.

Common Areas, Lobby, Conference Rooms

  • Confirm all trash is removed and bagged at the pickup point or dumpster
  • Lock up and arm the alarm if access required it
  • Final equipment check: nothing left behind in any zone

3. Don't Miss

Restrooms first

If you run short on time, restrooms are the zone that gets a client complaint fastest — never let them be the thing you rush.

Alarm and lock-up

A missed alarm code or unlocked door on the way out is a account-losing mistake, not a cleaning mistake — treat final lock-up as part of the checklist, not an afterthought.

4. Questions / Limits

Never touch paperwork or personal items

Dust around desks, never move files, mail, or personal belongings.
